Most of Malabrigo’s yarns have names of Spanish origin (they come from Uruguay), and many of these names refer to their thickness.
Rasta in Spanish means “dreadlock” and is also how we refer to a very thick cord. A lightly fulled single-ply yarn of giant proportions! Make a super warm accessory in just a few hours with this extra-large yarn. The fine Uruguayan merino is incredibly soft. This is the yarn to turn to when you want maximum warmth (or speed!).
Perfect for: quick projects, textured stitches, hats, cowls, scarves, and outerwear.
Each batch is hand-dyed with the same formula but may show slight variations between skeins, even within the same package, especially in variegated versions.
We recommend purchasing the quantity needed for your project all at once. To even out the color, it is advised to alternate two skeins every few rows while working.
