A "mala" (Japamala) is a special necklace used for meditation.
To make it, cut about a meter of thread and insert the pearls in this sequence:
Start with one dark pearl, one bead cup and then 27 light pearls.
Repeat the sequence and at the end alternate three dark one, preceded and followed by the beads cups.
Add two copper beads pass the thread through the Buddha head pendant.
Insert a new bead and pass the thread through the tassel.
Secure the tassel with double turn of thread and bring it back. Secure the trhead with two snap covers directly above the tassel.
Thread the wire back through the head pendant, through the bead and add a new copper bead.
Repeat the sequence of three dark pearls alternating with the cups and then add another 27 light pearls, a dark one (embraced by the bead cups) and another 27 light beads until you rejoin the first dark one inserted. Tie a small knot and you're done.
Add a small charm on the tassel.
